The Richardson City Council voted to adopt the 2021 edition of the International Codes and the 2020 edition of the National Electric Codes, including regional and local amendments at the April 24, 2023 City Council meeting. The City previously operated under the 2018 International Codes and 2017 National Electrical Codes.

Adopted Codes

On April 24, 2023, the City of Richardson City Council approved the adoption of the 2021 International Codes and the 2020 edition of the National Electric Code, including regional and local amendments. Previously the City of Richardson operated under the 2021 International Codes and the 2017 edition of the National Electric Code.

2021 International Mechanical Code
2021 International Plumbing Code
2021 International Fuel Gas Code
2021 International Energy Conservation Code
2021 International Fire Code
2021 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code
2020 National Electrical Code
