Household Chemicals

The Home Chemical Collection Center is
Now Open to receive your Household Hazardous Waste!

 
Richardson residents can now take their household hazardous waste to the new Home Chemical Collection Center located in Dallas just 2 miles south of Richardson City limits.  The Center is located on the East side of Plano Road Between Forest & Miller.  Residents must bring a driver’s license and water bill or other utility bill as proof of residence.

Hours of Operation
Tuesday      from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Thursday     from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
 2nd and 4th Saturday each month:      
                  from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

(NOTE:  to avoid long lines and traffic on Saturdays, please plan to arrive between 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. or between 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.)

Closed every Sunday, Monday, and Friday

For more information on disposal of items that are not listed below, please contact the Health Department at 972-744-4080 during regular business hours (8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday).

For disposal of recyclable items, please contact the City of Richardson's recycling coordinator at 972-744-4231, or 972-744-4404.

   
What materials will the Center take?

Acceptable items are non-commercial quantities of chemicals typically found around the house including but not limited to: paints, stains & varnishes, solvents, adhesives, pool chemicals, pesticides, lawn & garden chemicals, automotive chemicals, batteries, computers, computer peripherals, computer monitors, and cell phones.
