City of Richardson Election Information

The Richardson City Council voted on August 17, 2015 to call for two elections to be held on the November Election Day ballot. One is a bond election containing four propositions totaling $115 million, and the second is a charter amendment election with 83 propositions. No tax rate increase would be associated with any of the bond propositions being proposed, and amendments to the charter would alter the process for filling vacant city council seats through the use of special elections.
