A new online Survey and a new Questionnaire are available for you to provide input on the future of the Main Street/Central Expressway study area.

Before taking the Survey, review the Preliminary Concepts document that is available at the link to the left. Several of the questions in the Survey pertain to the draft concepts that are contained within the document.

survey closes october 31st

WHAT IS IN THE SURVEY?
The survey asks your opinion on a series of preliminary concepts that have been developed through the Main Street/Central Expressway Corridor Study process so far. First, we want to determine how you are involved in the study area and what basic issues interest you the most. Then you'll look at a series of photos and tell us how compatible certain building types are with your vision of the future corridor and what type of uses and activities you'd like to see.

We also want to know whether you feel that some of the existing buildings in the old Main Street area would contribute to the character of the future you envision. Near the end, the survey allows for additional comments and suggestions about steps to take that will make the corridor more livable and successful.

WHAT IS IN THE QUESTIONNAIRE?
The questionnaire gives you an opportunity to state your point of view about the future of the corridor in more detail. You will be guided through a series of questions about specific issues and concepts. There are also a few simple questions about your interest and involvement in the study area. The questionnaire allows us to collect all of your ideas and thoughts about the future of the corridor.

Study Boundaries MapHOW ARE THESE SURVEYS BENEFICIAL TO THE STUDY?
We want to give you every opportunity to provide your thoughts and ideas about the corridor. We see the survey and questionnaire as a step toward ensuring that each community member’s voice is heard in this process. These surveys help the city to make informed decisions. Your input will help formulate action items and priorities for the study. The deadline for the survey and questionnaire is October 31, 2012. The results of this survey will be presented at the next public meeting on November 8, 2012. Be sure to provide your contact information at the end of the survey in order to receive further information about the project and upcoming events.
