Permit & inspect child care facilities for safety & compliance.

Children's Immunization

Administer a FREE children's immunization clinic in cooperation with the Methodist Richardson hospital and Junior League of Richardson.  Appointments required.

Environmental Education

Provide education and presentations on environmental issues, including Storm Water Pollution/Nonpoint Source Pollution & Cease the Grease initiative.

Environmental Site Assessment

Process requests for site assessments on commercial properties.

Food Safety

Permit & inspect food establishments, festivals, mobile vendors, etc.  to ensure public safety.  Helpful links to other food safety information.

Food Handler Training

Training  for employees that work in food establishments in the City of Richardson.  Online food handler training now available! Pay, watch, and print your certificate in an hour!

Food Fear is a City of Richardson produced training video that is available for purchase to improve proper food handling practices.

Household Hazardsous Waste Disposal

Swimming Pool Inspections

Seasonal inspections are performed on all public and semi-public swimming pools in the City of Richardson to ensure water quality & clarity for safety.

Vector Control

Vector refers to an animal or insect that is capable of transmitting disease; or,  is a public health nuisance (such as bees, bed bugs, mosquitos and rodents, to name a few).

Water Quality

Storms and creeks are monitored for illegal dumping, drainage, blockage, etc. to ensure the preservation of the natural waterways throughout the City.
