Note: The Human Resources computers have access to the City of Richardson employment application pages only. Out-of-town visitors can obtain a temporary card for Internet use by stopping at the circulation desk on the first floor.
Typing tests must be taken in our Human Resources Office. Applications must be submitted online before taking the typing test. Testing is done Monday - Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Thursday and Friday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Test scores are good for one month. Typing tests must be passed before applications will be considered. Some jobs do not require a skills test. In those cases the applicant need not come to the office after submitting their application.

- Positions are subject to close without notice.
- Drug testing is required for all positions.

ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY ARE AN ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF ALL JOBS AT THE CITY OF RICHARDSON:
Consistent attendance and punctuality are considered Essential Functions of all jobs with the City of Richardson. Employees will be expected to report to work whenever scheduled. Employees will be expected to be at their assigned workplaces promptly, at the beginning of work periods and after all break/lunch periods.
