Books, Magazines and Other Materials
Richardson Public Library gladly accepts donations of books, magazines, and audio or visual materials. Donations that are in good condition and meet the library’s collection development guidelines may be added to the collection. Most of the remaining donations will go to the Friends of the Library for the book sales. Receipts for donated materials are available upon request, but Richardson Public Library will not place a value on the material donated.
Donations are accepted year-round and may be brought to the Circulation Desk whenever the library is open. If you are considering donating a large quantity of materials, please call 972-744-4350 for directions on where to bring your donations.
Gifts
Richardson Public Library gratefully accepts monetary donations. For book dedications, donors may recommend areas of interest. Accordingly, staff will select materials that complement the existing collection. If desired, book plates will be prepared acknowledging the donor and/or honoree.
For more information or to arrange for a monetary donation, please call 972-744-4350.
