Richardson Public Library has computers with free Internet access and Word, Excel and Powerpoint from Microsoft Office 2003 for use by our patrons. The library has Internet Explorer installed on our Internet computers and these are linked to a networked laser printer. Printing is 15 cents per page for black and white printing and 50 cents per page for color printing. Patrons using our computers must agree to abide by our Internet Use Policy.
Files may be uploaded from or downloaded to floppy disks, CD-ROMs, or flash drives. Two gb flash drives may be purchased for $10.00 at any service desk. Computer use is limited to the programs installed on the computers. Other software may not be installed on library computers.
We require a Richardson Public Library card to use the computers. If you do not have a card with us, please see Library Card. Out-of-town visitors can obtain a temporary card for Internet use by stopping at the circulation desk on the first floor.
For more information on using the library computers, see our Help Using the Library computers page.
