Texas Bluebonnet Award
The Texas Bluebonnet Award is a statewide children’s choice award program in which students in grades 3-6 who have read a required number of nominated books vote for their favorite from the master reading list. The Caldecott Medal BookLetters Newsletters
The Randolph Caldecott Medal has been awarded annually since 1938, under the supervision of the American Library Association to honor the ARTIST of the most distinguished American picture book for children published in the United States during the preceding year.
The Newbery Medal
The Newbery Medal has been awarded annually since 1922, under the supervision of the American Library Association, to the AUTHOR of the most distinguished contribution to literature for children published in the U.S. during the preceding year.
The Coretta Scott King Award
The Coretta Scott King Award is presented annually by the Coretta Scott King Task Force of the American Library Association. Recipients are authors and illustrators of African descent whose distinguished books promote an understanding and appreciation of the “American Dream.” The award is given to both an ARTIST and an AUTHOR.
