Richardson Suspends Trash and Recycling Services Due To Severe Winter Weather

The City of Richardson Solid Waste Division has suspended all trash and recycling pickup service for today (Thursday, Feb. 6) due to hazardous road conditions caused by severe winter weather. All trash and recycling not picked up today will be collected either tomorrow or by Saturday, dependent of weather conditions. Visit cor.net/WinterWeather for updated information.

Please see the following schedule for more details on residential and commercial service:

  • Residential: Crews will collect both Thursday and Friday areas on Friday, Feb. 7, and will work Saturday, Feb. 8, if necessary to ensure everything is collected.
  • Commercial: Front-load and Roll-off will collect Thursday and Friday containers Friday, Feb. 7, and will work this Saturday, Feb. 8, if necessary to ensure everything is collected.
  • Recycling: Crews will collect the Friday zone as scheduled and will collect today’s missed recycling this Saturday, Feb. 8, to collect what remains in the Thursday zone.
  • (BABIC): Brush and Bulky Item Collection (BABIC) crews will collect both Thursday and Friday areas tomorrow (Feb. 7), and will work Saturday, Feb. 8, if necessary to ensure everything is collected.
Road Response
Richardson street crews are sanding area intersections, bridges and overpasses as necessary and will continue operations through the day and night as needed.
