The Wildflower! Festival this week announced that 38 Special, Blue Oyster Cult and Grand Funk Railroad will perform Saturday, May 18, on the ViewPoint Bank Stage.
Also this week, country acts Charlie Daniels Band and Gretchen Wilson were announced as performers on the ViewPoint Bank Stage for Friday, May 17.
They join Robert Earl Keen, the Toadies, Uncle Kracker, The Reverend Horton Heat, Cowboy Mouth and Rocket Man, The Best of Elton John among many other musical acts scheduled to perform at the 21st annual Wildflower! Richardson’s Arts and Music Festival, May 17-19 at Galatyn Park.

Wildflower! is North Texas’ largest music festival and has been named “Best of the Fests” by D Magazine, draws local and national acts performing the best in classic rock, country, Texas blues, funk, pop, alt-rock, folk and Americana.
Also this year, the History Channel’s Cross Country Cookout Tour featuring Trace “The Rib Whisperer” Arnold will stop at Wildflower! as part of its nine-city tour. The 80-foot Ultimate Smoker and Grill will be at the festival May 17-19 cooking up 2,000 pounds of barbecue at once.
The 2013 festival’s three-day pass goes on sale for $30 on Monday, April 15, at any Metroplex Tom Thumb store or online through www.wildflowerfestival.com. The three-day pass will be available for sale until 5:30 p.m., Friday, May 17. Single-day adult tickets will be available at the gate for $20, as well as through the festival’s website beginning April 15. Kids age 5-12 will be admitted for $3, and admission for kids 4 and under is free.
