The Eisemann Center and the City of Richardson announced the 2013-2014 Season of Eisemann Center Presents (ECP) at the Annual Season Preview Party on Wednesday, May 8, 2013. We will continue presenting our popular and established Theatre Comedy Series (four (4) shows); the Family Theatre Series (five (5) shows) and Jeffrey Siegel’s Keyboard Conversations® (four (4) concerts). In addition we have eight (8) MainStage Shows featuring a wide diversity of programming and artistic disciplines and one (1) Special Attraction. Some of our more popular productions and artists from the past eleven years are returning to join in the celebration – The King’s Singers, Southern Fried Chick, Jaston Williams of Greater Tuna fame and the Church Basement Ladies. They will be joined by some outstanding new shows for the Eisemann Center, including Clint Black, The Ten Tenors, actor Stephen Lang in Beyond Glory and comedians Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood in their new show, Two Man Group.
One of country music’s brightest stars, Clint Black
, is bringing his 2013 Acoustic Tour to the Eisemann Center on Sat. Oct. 12, 2013 at 8:00 pm. An accomplished singer and guitarist, Black has become one of the most successful artists to date within the music industry. Having written and recorded over 100 songs in his career, Black's influence within the realm of country music and beyond can be heard through many artists today. Watch Preview
Feature film and television actor Stephan Lang
portrays a series of eight former servicemen from World War 2, Korea, and Vietnam recollecting their combat experiences and acts of courage that won each of them the Medal of Honor, the United States military’s highest laurel. Based on the book by Larry Smith, Beyond Glory

will be bringing the North American premiere of On Broadway, a new show showcasing the contrast of raw power and soothing beauty they are known for. Closing out the MainStage Shows for 2013-2014 will be Debby Boone and the World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra
on Fri. Apr. 25, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. Debby Boone, who rocketed to success with her hit single You Light Up My Life, partners with the World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra for this full big band retrospective. The Comedy Series opens with Blame it on Valentine, Texas
running for five performances Oct. 17-20, 2013, starring Jaston Williams. Before Jaston became the big star of Greater Tuna fame, at the age of 4 he single handedly destroyed a dance concert in one of smallest towns in Texas and became a hometown celebrity. Jaston shares this tale and how to convince an 87-year old mother who is legally blind, uses a walker and is clinically deaf that she shouldn’t drive any more. Blame it on Valentine, Texas will bring these stories and more to life as only Jaston Williams can do. Watch Preview

The Church Basement Ladies
, who performed to sold out houses in 2009, return to the Eisemann Center to face change head-on from their church’s basement kitchen in this comedic musical. These ladies maneuver through each situation with food and faith in their all new show A Mighty Fortress is our Basement. Against the changing tides, these pillars of the church stand strong in their convictions and in their friendships with crazy antics, great songs, and lessons reluctantly learned in their fresh and updated show. This show will open with an added matinee performance on Thu. Feb. 13 and runs for five more shows through Sun. Feb. 16, 2014. Watch Preview
Closing the 2013-2014 Theatre Comedy Series, They Call Me Mr. Fry
starring Jack Freiberger will play five performances Apr. 3-6, 2014. Jack Fry is a substitute teacher in urban LA. In this show he relives the culture shock, fears, hopes and dreams encountered through his work through wit, anecdotes and impressions. They Call Me Mr. Fry shares how he handles two challenging students, his journey through the bowels of big city bureaucracy and his efforts to find his place in the world while keeping his sense of humor and humanity. FAMILY THEATRE SERIES
Eisemann Center Presents’ Family Theatre Series is a Sunday matinee series for children and families of all ages. The Family Theatre Series brings professional touring children’s productions to the Eisemann Center with a lineup of shows that promises to excite, entertain, educate and amaze our youngest patrons. All Family Theatre Series performances take place in the Hill Performance Hall. Community partner Barnes & Noble on 15th Street in Plano, Texas, offers a related Story Hour on the Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. preceding the Sunday performances at the Eisemann Center.
The series kicks off with Angelina Ballerina The Musical
on Sun., Oct. 20, 2013 at 2:30 pm. Angelina Ballerina and her friends are excited for their upcoming special performance for a famous visitor to their Camembert Academy. Produced by Vital Theatre Company, Angelina Ballerina The Musical is based on the book by Susan DiLallo. Angelina is hoping for a starring moment to help her reach her big dreams of becoming a prima ballerina in Angelina Ballerina The Musical. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND MULTI-SHOW DISCOUNT PROGRAM
Subscriptions for the Theatre Comedy Series are on sale to the public with a 15% discount on full series subscriptions ranging from $116.00 to $136.00. The Family Theatre Series subscriptions range from $48.00 to $88.00, a savings of 20% off single ticket prices. The Keyboard Conversations® series subscriptions range from $92.00 to $109.00 at a 15% discount off single ticket prices.
Due to the artistic diversity of the MainStage Shows and our Special Attractions, these events are not packaged as a subscription series. All of these shows, as well as the other shows in the season qualify for this unique discount flex program, in which you can create your own entertainment package and enjoy savings up to 20%. The Multi-Show Discount Program does not guarantee the same seats, but offers you great flexibility of choice economically (different price levels and quantity of seats on a show by show basis), as well as artistically (shows of choice). If you are a subscriber to one or more of our subscription series, those shows will also count towards this discount package making it even easier for you to get discounts on other shows of interest. All shows must be ordered at the same time in order to receive the discount benefits offered.
