The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) will hold a public meeting on the North Texas Municipal Water District’s (NTMWD) application for a Municipal Solid Waste Permit Amendment for the Lookout Drive Transfer Station.

The meeting will take place 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the Douglas Otto Middle School Cafetorium, 504 North Star Rd. in Plano. The meeting will consist of two parts, an informal discussion period and a formal comment period.

During the informal discussion, the public may ask questions of TCEQ and NTMWD staff concerning the permit application. During the formal comment period, members of the public may state comments orally into the official record. The TCEQ Executive Director will later prepare a written response to all comments submitted. The public may also submit written comments during the meeting or before the meeting to the Office of the Chief Clerk, TCEQ, Mail Code MC-105, P.O. Copies of the permit application are available at Richardson City Hall, 411 W. Arapaho Rd., or at the NTMWD offices, 505 E. Brown St. in Wylie, as well as online at https://ntmwd.com/lookoutdrivets.html. The permit would allow construction of a new Transfer Station building, which would replace the existing facility.
