Richardson City Council meetings will take place at the City’s new Temporary City Hall beginning with the Aug. 21 meeting. Temporary City Hall is located at 2360 Campbell Creek Blvd. at the southwest corner of Plano Road and Greenville Avenue.
The one-story, 77,000-square-foot building will serve as the temporary facility for both City Hall and the Richardson Public Library, which is slated to undergo a full renovation beginning later this year using funds approved in the 2021 Bond Program.
Since the August 2022 fire closed City Hall, City Council meetings have been held at the Police Headquarters and former City Hall workers have been working out of five separate city-owned facilities. All services previously provided at City Hall will eventually be relocated to the temporary facility. City staff should begin moving into the facility in September or October. The Library is scheduled to close at its existing location on Sept. 9 and reopen at the temporary facility in October.
