Drop-In Tech Help

Every Thursday: 2-5 pm

Drop-in Tech Help is our quick tech help program at the library, and is conducted by Adult Services staff. It is available every Tuesday and Thursday to anyone with a valid RPL card. No registration is required, just walk in and spend 5-15 minutes with a librarian to ask your tech questions. This program covers:

  • eBooks/eReaders
  • Basic computer navigation
  • Basic app use
  • Basic cellphone use
  • Basic tablet use
  • General internet instruction
  • Research beyond Google
  • Using library electronic resources

Unfortunately, we will be unable to assist with more technical or sensitive problems. These include: setting up a new device; fixing/restoring/repairing a broken or infected device or app; entering sensitive information (e.g. credit card information, social security number, online banking, etc.); keyboarding, typing, or proofreading documents.
