Green Power is clean energy that minimizes CO2 emissions.
The U.S. EPA defines green power as "electricity produced from solar, wind, geothermal, biogas, biomass, and low-impact small hydroelectric sources" and goes on to explain that "Customers often buy green power for avoided environmental impacts and its greenhouse gas reduction benefits." For further information on the EPA's involvement in Green Power check out the Green Power Partnership.
