Rusty Williams, author and historian, will lecture about life at the turn of the twentieth century in Dallas. Turns out it was far more lethal than those sweet old photos suggest: out-of-control fireworks displays, boiler explosions, deadly house fires, elevator failures, unexpected weather events, poor sanitation, and more.
