The City of Richardson will host a presentation from 6:30-8:30pm Wednesday, March 2nd featuring an “Introduction to the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center.”

The John Bunker Sands (JBS) Wetland Center is a one of a kind, manmade wetland that provides millions of gallons of additional drinking water to the region while serving as a vital natural habitat for some of our most treasured wildlife in the region.

The free event will be at the Richardson Service Center, 1260 Columbia Dr. and JBS Wetland Center Director John DeFillipo will be the guest speaker. He will cover the following topics:

• State of our current water supply
• History of public/private partnership between John Bunker Sands and the North Texas Municipal Water District
• Current Wetland Center research and educational programs
• An introduction to wildlife at John Bunker Sands
