Urban Naturalit: The Early History of North Central Texas
Participants must register before attending any of the Richardson Urban Naturalist programs and each has a maximum number of participants of 25. Children are encouraged to attend and those under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. $5 registration for Adults 18 and over. What a storied past our region of North Central Texas possesses from the formative years of the Blackland Prairie to the settlement of our area. Ernie Stokely will take us on a walking tour of Spring Creek Nature Area and peel back the layers of time to give us a glimpse of what life was like centuries ago. We will also gain an understanding of the native American influences as well as how our area began it settlement, and why this area many have been chosen by early settlers. This is a fully accessible walk and one that all ages will enjoy
