Urban Naturalist: Birds of Spring Migration
Participants must register before attending any of the Richardson Urban Naturalist programs and each has a maximum number of participants of 25. Children are encouraged to attend and those under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. $5 registration for Adults 18 and over. We are thankful in North Texas we have so many birds that travel through our area on their annual migrations and the timing for this walk is at the peak of the spring journey north for many species. Prairie Creek Park is a quality birding area and Master Birder Michael Cameron of the Prairie and Timbers Audubon will lead us on a walk through the park to identify and enjoy the many species present during this spring migration. All ages will enjoy this walk beginning at Discovery Point, an outdoor educational area in Prairie Creek Park. Binoculars are highly recommended along with notepad for later referencing some of the more unique and special bird sightings of the morning.
