Cottonwood Art Festival This Weekend

Join More Than 240 Artists This Weekend at the City of Richardson’s Cottonwood Art Festival

RICHARDSON, Texas – North Texas’ premier fine arts event, the Cottonwood Arts Festival, takes place at Cottonwood Park in Richardson this weekend. Ranked in the Top 10 art festivals in the U.S. by Art Fair SourceBook and in the Top 50 U.S. fine art and design shows by Sunshine Artist magazine, the Cottonwood Art Festival is now in its 44th year. Cottonwood features displays of museum-quality work by more than 240 of the nation’s top visual artists.

Cottonwood’s juried art show will honor winners in 14 categories: 2D Mixed Media, 3D Mixed Media, Ceramics, Digital, Drawings/Pastels, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Leather, Metalwork, Painting, Photography, Sculpture and Wood. Festival-goers can also meet the artists, or take their budding Botticellis to ArtStop – the interactive children’s area with life-size paint brushes and activities. In addition, food, spirits and live music may be enjoyed at the Cottonwood Courtyard and Café.

DATE: Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6

TIME: 10 a.m.- 8 p.m. (Saturday); 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. (Sunday)

WHERE: Cottonwood Park
1321 W. Belt Line Road, Richardson
