5’n Wine Social Run
Meet on the front patio of Whole Foods CityLine for a 5K run through the nearby Spring Creek Nature Area. Afterwards head to a celebratory social hour at the Whole Foods bar.
Time: 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Teen Program – Anime Club
Join this monthly meeting to watch, chat and more about the anime you love. For teens ages 13-18 only.

CityLine Live
Come out for live music at CityLine Plaza. Soul and R&B artist Kirk Thurmond will perform. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets. Pups are also welcome.

Golf Tournament
Join the Richardson Woman’s Club for the 15th annual golf tournament. A player who makes a “hole in one” will receive a Malibu Chevrolet from Reliable Chevrolet. All profits go toward the Richardson Woman’s Club community outreach of donations to agencies and scholarships to RISD students.
Time: 11 a.m. (registration), 12:30 p.m. (putting contest), 1 p.m. (tournament starts)
Location: Sherrill Park Golf Course, 2001 E. Lookout Dr.
Admission: $150 for an individual player, $1,000 for a corporate team.

Michael Cavanaugh: The Music of Billy Joel & Elton John
Michael Cavanaugh will lead his band through the biggest hits by Billy Joel and Elton John. He was handpicked by Billy Joel to perform the lead in Broadway’s “Movin Out.”
Time: 8 p.m.
Location: Hill Performance Hall at the Eisemann Center.

Cottonwood Art Festival
The bi-annual festival returns in May for the 53rd year. It will feature brand new artists, live art performances, bands, hands-on arts and crafts for kids and more.
Time: 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
Location: Cottonwood Park.
Admission: Free and open to the public.

Learn a Japanese book binding technique to make your own notebook for journaling, sketching, planning, painting and more.

Full Circle Dance – Art Moves
Join Full Circle Dance for an evening of contemporary modern dance and witness the beauty of visual art through the power of movement.

Walk and Talk Bird Tour
Go on a walking bird tour and learn about the birds that live at the Wetland. Learn how to use binoculars, field guides, keep a life list and what to look for when identifying birds. This will be the last tour until September.

Shibori Art
Join Monica Yafuso and learn about the ancient art of Shibori to make Japanese tie-dye art that you can frame and display. All supplies will be included.

Students from the University’s Advanced Orchestra and Chamber Music Ensemble perform with UT Dallas faculty and other professional musicians under the direction of Robert Xavier Rodriguez.

RCAS Exhibit at City Hall/Civic Center
The Richardson Civic Art Society has installed a new exhibit on the north wall of the City Hall/Civic Center’s main hallway, featuring 19 paintings created by RCAS board members. The colorful display includes framed and unframed creations of varying sizes, including oils, watercolors, collage and acrylic mediums.
Time: 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. (Mon.-Fri.)

Join the Senior Center for part three of “Alaska Adventures.” Enjoy a day at sea in Vancouver with a tour of the Regent Seven Seas Navigator cruise ship and galley. Afterward, navigate the dangerous Seymore Narrows and Ripple Rock at 4 a.m.

Wildflower! Arts & Music Festival
The annual festival returns this month. Attendees can enjoy a variety of musical performances from both local and international artists, a battle of the bands, food from vendors throughout Dallas-Fort Worth, kids activities and more.

Wildflower! Cornhole Tournament
Registration is now open for the first Wildflower! Cornhole Tournament, which will take place at the festival. The grand prize will include a $150 gift card to Scheels.

Corporate Recreation Basketball League
Join this summer for a Corporate Recreation Basketball League. It will be an eight-week season with playoffs for the top four teams. All games will be played at Huffhines Recreation Center on Tuesday nights.
Time: 6:30-9:30 p.m. every Tuesday night. June 7-Aug. 2.
