Prairie Creek Park Project Updates:
- Work to Begin Soon on Prairie Creek Park
- In conjunction with the construction project, the Parks and Recreation Department will be working to restore and improve Prairie Creek Park. Planned improvements include re-planting landscape beds at the covered bridge and at the Arborcrest bridge, tree trimming throughout the park, planting new trees in the park, and constructing new concrete trail between Collins and Arborcrest.
Construction for West Prairie Creek started in late August 2022. Construction is expected to be complete in April 2024, with some additional time needed for restoration of the park. Completion was pushed back due to unexpected concrete work that is needed for the road base.
Work includes paving improvements, underground utility and drainage improvements, curb extensions at Lookout Drive, and parking enhancements on West Prairie Creek Drive.
