How can I get a copy of a fire report?
You can obtain a copy of a fire report by contacting Fire Headquarters located at 300 N. Greenville Avenue or call 972-744-5750.
Office hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.
How can I get a copy of an EMS ambulance report?
To obtain a copy of an EMS report, the actual patient must contact Fire Headquarters, or a medical authorization signed by the patient, with proper ID, must be presented to Fire Headquarters. Due to medical information on the report, we can only release these reports with patient consent. Please contact the Custodian of Medical Records, Fire Headquarters, 300 N. Greenville Avenue, Richardson, TX, 75081, 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday at 972-744-5700. (See HIPAA Privacy Notice)
Can I buy trash or recycle bags at the fire department?
Trash bags are not available at any of the Fire Stations. However, recycling bags can be purchased from the following locations: Station 6 Vending Machine in the lobby, City Hall, the Senior Center, or any of the Recreation Centers.
Can I have a birthday party at the fire station?
No, birthday parties are not allowed at the fire stations. However, you can take a tour of or bring a group to any of the six fire stations.
How do I request a tour?
Fire station tours can be arranged by appointment at any of the six fire stations. Just call Fire Headquarters at 972-744-5700 to request a tour.

Can I get a fire engine to visit my children’s school?
These requests should be made through a school district employee, either from a teacher or administrator.
How do I make a complaint about a fire hazard?
Complaints can be made to our Fire Marshal’s Office at 972-744-5750.
Where can I get my blood pressure checked?
Your blood pressure can be checked free of charge at any of the Richardson Fire Department locations.
Can I take CPR and First Aid lessons at the fire department?
The Fire Department does not offer CPR and First Aid classes at this time.
Where can I get a free smoke detector?
The Richardson Fire Department, as a service, provides smoke detectors to the elderly or handicapped citizens. Fire department personnel will install the detectors in your home. Please contact the Fire Marshal's Office at 972-744-5750 for additional information.
