Juveniles
A juvenile is a person between 10 and 16 years of age.

If you are a juvenile, or the parent or guardian of a juvenile, the following procedure applies:

Juveniles MUST appear in court with a parent or guardian. The parent or guardian will be notified by mail of the court date and time. If you do not receive a notice by the appearance date on the citation, please contact the court at (972) 744-4500.

Minors
A Minor is a person under the age of 21 years.

If you are a minor between the ages of 17 and 20 and have been charged with an alcohol or tobacco related offense, you must appear in court. If you do not receive a Notice to Appear in the mail by your citation appearance date, please contact the court. If you are 17 or under, a parent or guardian will be notified by mail of the court date and time.
