Inclusion Statement
Our program welcomes campers of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Though we do our best to provide services necessary for all campers, we are not able to provide constant one-on-one attention to those campers that need additional care, as this pulls us out of our required staff-to-camper ratios necessary for safety. Any campers requiring assistance with matters not directly related to camp activities and needing additional care (ex. toileting, feeding, etc.) must bring a chaperone/aide while attending camp.

*If you are planning to register a child with special needs, we ask that you inform the Camp Coordinator of your registration PRIOR to camp starting to provide any tips/strategies that we can implement and any triggers to avoid. We welcome all children to come experience camp and will work our hardest to make it successful as we possibly can for your child!

About our Day Camp Coordinator:

My name is Joshua Bloomfield, and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. My family and I have moved here to Dallas this summer to be closer to our family. I have been working in the field of education and athletics for over 14 years. I worked summer camps for over 13 years since I was fifteen and a half every summer until I became the camp director. I learned lots of new and fun ideas in arts, crafts, STEM, games, and sports to make sure there is something for everyone. We hope with our camps the children will be able to build lifelong friendships, have healthy and fun exercise, and be able to communicate better with their peers and the counselors that will be with them.

My goal is to bring excitement coming to camps and wanting to attend each camp throughout the year. We have Recess which are more one day camps, Fall break Camp (3 days), Winter break Camp (2 different weeks), Spring Break camp (one week) and summer camp (8 weeks), all that follow the RISD Calander! I'm super excited to be here with my welcoming enthusiastic counselors hoping that one day some of our campers join the ranks as they get older!
