*LOCATION CHANGE - KINDER, ELEMENTARY & TEEN*
Camp will be located at Apollo Junior High School for summer 2024. Playground Camp will continue to take place at Heights Park and Recreation Center.
COR Summer Camp offers a variety of activities in a safe and fun environment for all campers. Depending on the age and personality of your camper, you may choose the camp that is best suited for them. We have four camps to choose from, ranging in ages from 5-15 years old
Kinder Camp (ages 5-6)
Hosted at Apollo Junior High School this summer, this camp includes arts and crafts, science projects, outdoor fun, swimming, and more. Kinder campers enjoy a smaller group size no larger than 22 children. We visit a splash pad or pool 2-3 times per week. All campers must be fully potty-trained. Please note: No exceptions will be made for children under 5 years old.
Playground Camp (ages 7-11)
A camp hosted in Heights Parks during the morning, and comes inside the Heights Recreation Center for lunch and afternoon activities. This camp enjoys 1 field trip/special guest a week, and goes swimming 2-3 times per week. Best suited for campers who enjoy playing outdoors and being active.
Elementary Camp (ages 7-11)
Hosted at Apollo Junior High School this summer, this camp is primarily indoors and focuses on gym games, arts, crafts, and science experiments. Campers also enjoy 2 field trips/special guests per week, and swimming 2-3 times per week.
Teen Camp (ages 12-15)
This camp is for mature and responsible young preteens and teens that love being on the go. Home base is at Apollo Junior High School this summer. Campers explore and adventure all around the DFW area with 3 field trips/special guests per week and occasional volunteer opportunities. When they aren't on a field trip, they visit a city-owned swimming pool twice per week, enjoy gym games, sports, group activities, and space to hang out with their new friends. Please note: Cell phones and other electronics are not allowed at camp except in an emergency.
REFUND POLICY
A refund request MUST be submitted via email at least 7 days before the first day of the camp session. Refunds will not be granted after the camp session has ended nor will they be granted due to the following reasons: weather conditions, summer heat, sunburn, a camper's behavior, absence from camp, last minute plans, or camp assignments. Parents are responsible for making sure children are registered in the correct camp program or session. If an error is found after registration, please call and have it corrected before the camp season begins.
To request a refund please email the Camp Coordinator directly at Joshua.Bloomfield@cor.gov. Please do not call in refund requests, as messages can get lost.

If you have questions for your specific Camp Director, the BEST way to contact us is through the Remind App! Through this app, our team will send daily/weekly updates for your specific camp including: what time the bus leaves for the field trip, pool day reminders, lost and found items, photos of your campers, etc.
You also have the ability to send your Camp Director a direct message, which comes in handy for things such as: letting them know you are running late, asking if your child left their water bottle at camp, etc. PLEASE download this app, as we share many important updates through it, sometimes last minute changes due to weather, and we want all parents to be as informed as possible.
