America Recycles Day is November 15 and is dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling across the country. Recycling helps prevent nearly 86.9 million tons of material from being disposed of in the US each year. Through Richardson’s Blue Bag program, you can combine all your recyclable material into one bag and place it out for weekly pickup.

A list of items that are accepted can be found online at Richardson’s recycling web page, as well as maps showing the weekly recycling pickup days for various areas of the city.

A drop-off recycling center for Richardson residents is also open from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. seven days a week, located at the Westside Pump Station, 101 N. Cottonwood Dr. Visit www.cor.net/recycling for more information about Richardson’s recycling program.
