Among other duties, the TIF Board:

  • Make recommendations to the governing body on the administration of the TIF provision of Tax Code 311.
  • Review and recommend candidate development projects for use of TIF fund support.
  • Periodically review the Project and Financial Plan and make recommendations for any updates.
  • Review the Annual Report to be submitted to the City Council and comply with requirements to the Texas Comptroller for TIF registry and reporting.
MEMBERS ZONE 1
Makes recommendations to the City Council concerning the TIF Zone #1, which was created to stimulate new development in an 816-acre area along the Central Expressway corridor and the southwestern border of the City; meets as needed.
