2022 State of the City
The City of Richardson held its annual State of the City Address Wednesday, Jan. 26, themed “Making Richardson Home” and featuring numerous accomplishments from 2021 despite the continued pandemic, as well as the future vision and priorities for moving the community forward in 2022. Mayor Paul Voelker, Mayor Pro Tem Janet Depuy, members of the Richardson City Council and leaders from the Richardson IQ® delivered the report as part of a free, open-to-the-public, in-person event at the Eisemann Center in Richardson.
2021 State of the City
The City of Richardson’s annual State of the City Address has been presented in a way unlike any had been presented before. The address is typically presented live before an audience at the Eisemann Center. But this year, because of the ongoing threat of COVID-19 and the need to take safety precautions, Richardson Mayor Paul Voelker and City Council Members recorded the annual message. The theme of this year’s State of the City was “The Richardson Way,” and during the 45-minute video, the Mayor and Council Members talked about the highlights and accomplishments in the past year and what the goals are for the upcoming year.

Mayor Paul Voelker and members of the Richardson City Council delivered the report as part of a free, open-to-the-public event at the Eisemann Center for the Performing Arts and Corporate Presentations.

Richardson Mayor Paul Voekler delivered the annual State of the City Address February 1, 2017, showcasing the community’s many successes of 2016, as well as future priorities.
2016 State of the City
Mayor Paul Voelker reported that the state of Richardson is strong at this year’s State of the City Address, a free and open-to-the-public event held at the Eisemann Center Wednesday, January 27. He recognized many of the success stories that occurred in Richardson in 2015 and highlighted some great things the City is looking ahead to in 2016.
2015 State of the City
On January 28 at a free and open to the public event, Former Richardson Mayor Laura Maczka delivered the annual State of the City Address at the Eisemann Center. Noting the City’s strong position, Mayor Maczka’s remarks focused on the City’s major accomplishments during 2014, and its positive future outlook.

Former Richardson Mayor Laura Maczka delivered the annual State of the City Address at 6 p.m. January 29, 2014 at the Alamo Drafthouse. This event was free and open-to-the-public. Mayor Maczka’s remarks focused on the City Council’s goals and the city’s major accomplishments during 2013.
2013 State of the City
Former Richardson Mayor Bob Townsend delivered the annual State of the City Address January 30, 2013 at a free, open-to-the-public event held at Richardson’s Eisemann Center. Noting Richardson’s strong condition, Mayor Townsend’s remarks focused on the City Council’s statement of goals in various “areas of excellence” and the City’s major accomplishments during 2012 in each of those focus areas.
2012 State of the City
