Swing
If you are a regular player at Richardson’s Sherrill Park Golf Course or you are planning to play your first round, you now have access to a new tool that will not only help you navigate the 36-hole layout but may also help to shave a couple of strokes off your scorecard tally.
Hole In One
Sherrill Park has collaborated with Gallus Golf to offer a free smartphone app that provides golfers a variety of features for use before, during and after a round. The app contains a graphic representation of each hole’s layout on Course 1 and Course 2 and flyover videos will soon be available for all 18 holes on Course 1. Video of Course 2 holes will be available later this year.
Map
The app includes a full tee-to-trouble GPS mapping system (not just to the center of the green) and you can even use the app to measure the distance of your shots. The “stats tracker” feature allows you to track your average score and how often you birdie/par/bogey a hole. If you get hungry during your round, you can access the Clubhouse grill menu and phone in your order for food and drinks and it will be ready for you when you make the turn
Quote
“This app will help to enhance the golfing experience at Sherrill Park,” said Head Professional Ronny Glanton. “It allows us to not only provide on-course information to our players, but we can also use the app to inform our golfers about upcoming tournaments, events or promotions we are holding.”
