Richardson Independent School District (RISD)
RISD is comprised of 55 campuses that provide almost 38,000 students with an education continually recognized at both the state and national levels for educational excellence. RISD received a "Recognized" rating from the Texas Education Agency from 2006-2012, the largest, most diverse district in Texas to earn that rating over those consecutive years. In 2013, RISD received a Met Standard rating under the transitional STAAR-based accountability system.

Plano Independent School District (PISD)
Plano ISD serves the residents of approximately 100 square miles in southwest Collin County. This area includes 66 square miles in the City of Plano, with the balance including northern portions of the cities of Dallas and Richardson and parts of the cities of Allen, Carrollton, Garland, Lucas, Murphy, Parker and Wylie.

University of Texas at Dallas (UTD)

Richland College
For more than 40 years, Richland College has focused on teaching, learning and community building. In recognition of these efforts, the White House and the Dept. of Commerce named Richland a 2005 recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the only community college to have received this award.
